Does piracy kill someone ?

A pirated disk of some software is circulated around , it lowers the sales of a company. Does it actually take someone’s bread and butter ? Is the piracy irrespective of the workers’ job at respective companies ? I kind of started feeling guilty for using pirated software but I cannot afford to buy the originals at our region, to buy Autodesk Maya 2011 software , I can actually purchase a Gamers Pc with 8gb ram and 4 gb Video card with 24 inch LCd screen. What is that I can do to get rid of this guilt ? Not in a position to buy the original. Linux doesn’t offer few games and software as a solution. Help me, Thank you.

Its a tough call, if you pirate say photoshop the start a business and begin to pay taxes and employ people then maybe its actually for the better.

If you steal one copy then make copies and circulate it and sell for profit then stores and the design companies loss revenue then yeah you affect people livelihoods.

So basically if your feel guilty, use it to do some free designs and such for businesses in need. Maybe use the skills to start a business and employ people there-by helping the citizens and adding to the tax base.

Basically those are opinions on this subject, at least on the basic level.
