How To Get iTunes on Ubuntu?

Okay so my friend just got an iPod Touch and he has Ubuntu on his computer. He downloaded QuickTime and iTunes but everytime he tries to open iTunes it fails to open and says that he doesn’t have QuickTime (which he does) so iTunes won’t open. I think he’s using WINE too. Does anyone know what to do?
